In the impoverished countryside of Phu Yen province, the Tran Thi Mai family is enduring an unimaginable depth of sorrow, as a poor mother's heart aches with two of her sons facing devastating hardships. This already struggling family is now grappling with overwhelming challenges that test their very limits.
Her youngest son, Phan Van Trieu, suffered a tragic accident at work. A fall left him with a severe spinal injury, resulting in the complete paralysis of his legs.
As if this heartbreak wasn't enough, Mrs. Mai's family also bears the heavy burden of caring for her husband, Mr. Phan Thao. Once the family's pillar of strength and main provider, he is now classified as severely disabled following a debilitating stroke.
