"Mr. Le Van Tan – The Man on Crutches Sowing Hope
Despite his physical disability, Mr. Lê Văn Tấn carries the weight of his family on his frail shoulders. Every day, rain or shine, he navigates the narrow alleys of Saigon on crutches, selling lottery tickets to provide for himself and his loved ones.
Without complaints or surrender, he presses forward through each unsteady step, transforming pain into strength. His resilience and extraordinary determination leave many deeply moved – a living testament to the power of rising above life’s challenges.
On the occasion of Vietnam’s Day for People with Disabilities, the HCMC Association for Support of People with Disabilities and Orphans presented Mr. Tấn and nearly 200 others in similar circumstances with meaningful gifts. These are more than just material tokens; they are heartfelt encouragement, a recognition that the quiet efforts of individuals like Mr. Lê Văn Tấn deserve to be celebrated, cherished, and shared."
