Light from the Heart Home for the Blind – Light from the Heart
In the heart of the bustling city, there lies a quiet yet profoundly compassionate place—Thai Duong Blind Home. More than just a residence, it is a shared home for visually impaired individuals facing difficult circumstances, people who have confronted the darkness of fate and been overlooked by life.
Founded by Ms. Nguyen Thi Van, a woman whose eyes cannot see the light but whose heart shines brighter than ever, the shelter reflects her deep understanding of the loneliness and disadvantages faced by those who share her condition. Having experienced visual impairment herself, Ms. Van opened her arms to embrace visually impaired individuals with nowhere else to turn, offering them a home, a foundation, and a chance to rebuild their lives.
Beyond providing meals and a place to rest for these less fortunate souls, the shelter teaches vocational skills, Braille, life skills, and supports visually impaired children in integrating into the community. Many who have grown up at the shelter have become independent, confident, and capable of contributing meaningfully to society.
Thai Duong Blind Home is a place where the darkness of sight cannot dim the radiant light of love from the heart—a place where people learn to walk steadfastly with faith, rather than with vision.
